Confused about Hemp Oil, Industrial Hemp Oil, Hemp Extract Oil, and Cannabis Oil'
We are here to help clear up the confusion about what this is, how it is made, and what the difference between the different products on the market is. So, let’s begin.
Hemp oil is from the Cannabis Sativa plant. The Cannabis Sativa seed is pressed to obtain the oil. It most likely contains a small amount of CBD. It is regulated and tested for THC, but not CBD amounts.
Another derivative of the Cannabis Sativa plant is Industrial Hemp Oil. Industrial Hemp Oil is the same as hemp oil or hemp seed oil. Industrial hemp has a much stronger fiber and is used for many purposes other than oils. Marijuana fiber is a poor fiber pant because of it’s low tensile strength and shred s and breaks easily. Industrial hemp has a very low THC level and is not cultivated to produce buds. Industrial hemp has much higher concentration of cannabidiol or CBD. It does not create a “high” for those who use it because of the low THC level it has.
Hemp extract oil and hemp oil are from a different cannabis plant called Cannabis Sativa. Hemp extract oil is made from the leaf, stem, seed, and all the rest of the plant. This is legal in all states and contains no THC.
Hemp extract is a Canadian hemp oil that has naturally occurring terpenes, flavonoids, and other phytonutrients. It is free of harmful solvents. It is produced with a low temperature alcohol free extraction process that yields a pure form of hemp oil extract. This also is legal in all 50 states and does not contain THC and is produced from the Cannabis Sativa industrial hemp plant.
Cannabis oil is extracted from the marijuana plant leaves. It is illegal in most states and contains high levels of THC. It is used for medicinal purposes and recreational drug use. There are no regulations regarding it’s production.
